The Annual National Shrimp Festival Committee hosts a poster competition yearly to select the official poster for the Festival.

Thank you for your interest in the Annual National Shrimp Festival’s poster contest.  This year’s Shrimp Festival will take place October 8-11, 2010.  The poster is the first official merchandise to be produced and becomes the official design for all Festival Merchandise. Please follow the specs below when designing your entry.

Criteria for poster consideration:           

1. Artwork must be original by solicited artist.
2. Theme should include: Art, Food, Music.
3. Name of Festival should be included in artwork:
   39th Annual National Shrimp Festival
   
4. Year should be included in artwork: 2010
   
5. Location of Festival should be included in artwork:
         Gulf Shores, Alabama
   
6. Artist should use bold colors.
7. Actual size of the commissioned poster after production will not exceed 18 inches horizontal by 24 inches vertical.
8. If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.
9. If selected, artwork becomes sole property of Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce and the Annual National Shrimp Festival and may or may not be used in any manner the Chamber desires without further compensation to the artist.
10. If selected, artist agrees to sign and number two hundred fifty (250) prints within 30 days of request.
11. If selected, commissioned artist will receive one payment of $1,000.  If under the age of 18, artist must have parent’s signature on contract to receive prize money.
12. Artist is encouraged to be on Festival site at least one day to sign posters or other poster related souvenirs for Festival goers.

Submissions should be delivered to The Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce at 3150 Gulf Shores Parkway, Gulf Shores, Alabama 36542 or mailed to Post Office Drawer 3869, Gulf Shores, Alabama 36547.
